Port Elizabeth .NET - Community launched

    Dear all,

Port Elizabeth needs a .NET community. So I've decided to put something together. I'd love it if someone wants to assist me with this, but if not, it's no biggy :) I believe that PE's developers can really benefint from a community effort with events etc.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I will keep ya'll posted :D

I've setup a community website and blog as a start.

    Hopefully this'll help too:

If you can organise an audience of at least 10 people, I'll deliver the following double header to your group on Saturday 6th Sept.

    Aspect-oriented Programming with PostSharp.

    Developing Firefox 3 add ons.

Please let me know if you are interested.

Sounds great! I'm meeting with NMMU tomorrow and will take it from there. Do you have your content planned already? I was thinking not too make sessions too long on a specific topic. Maybe 30-40 mins max.

I can't guarentee an audience of any number, but I can guarentee you that I'll do my damn-well best to get as many people there as possible. I know E-media IT is interested and maybe at least a couple people from my work, from there I can do some advertising and get te ball started.

Please let me know about your content by contacting me directly and we can chat more.

Re: Port Elizabeth .NET - Community launched

    I've e-mailed you offline.

NMMU has confirmed that we can use a classroom/lab and I have decided to keep the first one light and have 3 sessions.

I have created the event at http://portelizabeth.ning.com and will update with the final details as soon as I have everything confirmed.

    Regards,

    Dave
