    Web Site Strategy

I have a client that wants a simple web site to expose his construction business.  He wants basic 'about' information, contact details, and a portfolio of completed contracts.  I offered him a cheap one, with maintenance done by me, or a slightly more expensive one with maintenance functions.  He chose the former, agreeing rather to pay me when he needs something added or updated.

What are my options in getting something simple out of the door quickly?  Are there any template type systems that I can use to get started, even with initial static content, where I can later expand to using a proper CMS later, to add other businesses etc.  I don't want the complexities of setting up a full CMS right now.

Have a look at dotnetnuke. Might be what you are looking for.

I've seen more than a few negative reactions to DNN lately, but I haven't looked at it for years.  When last I did, it seemed a bit clunky.

Yes, about five minutes ago.  I'll look into it in some more detail later this week.
