Just feedback on this, I told them about the offer I received, told them I had to sign and give the contract in by Tuesday, they told me they'd get back to me about it ASAP, and after two months of waiting within two days one of the Directors met with the CIO of the client... and then they didn't tell me wot happened... Stick out tongue

    So I'm leaving...

Yesterday I actually felt like crap, it felt like I had been fired, even though it wasn't like that... I really worked me behind off here and it felt like all that hard work was for nothing... But my director phoned me in the evening last night and he said they said they wanted to renew and wara wara wara but I told him it was too late, so now at least I don't feel like crap any more... Cool

Re: Should I tell them, if so when?

    Hi,

I know the feeling. Same thing happened to me at the place where I said my boss starting smoking again when I quit. Had worked there for over 3 years, even overtime on MANY nights (without payment, mind you) to get everything in order. So, when I became the head of the department, they still considered me as a freakin..... junior!!! They made all these promises beforehand that they would get more people in to assist, because at the time I was doing more than 2 peoples' share of work. Nothing ever came of it, not because there weren't qualified people, but because they did not even try to get me help.

So when that happens, the directors, bosses, whoever, should not be surprised if you want to leave. Companies don't realise that their biggest asset is their people, because if the people are gone, then the company is gone.

Okay, to make a long story short, the client didn't know I was going to leave, when they found out, they basically said they don't want that to happen, and one thing led to another, now I'm staying... Stick out tongue

    Schweeeeeeeeeet.........

Congrats man. At least you won't have to look forward to re-learning the new employer's server layout, passwords, etc. That is one of the only drawbacks for me when changing employers.

Yeah, also don't have to learn the traffic and new routes etc. etc. It is actually quite a huge relief...
