When: 23rd June 2008 18:30 - 20:30
Venue: Microsoft Auditorium, Bryanston (directions)
Presenter: Brad Abrams (Microsoft Corp)
Topic: Silverlight 2 with Brad Abrams
RSVP: Please RSVP by replying to this post.
Overview: Brad Abrams is most probably known for the numerous books on C# and .NET that he has written or co-authored. The book Framework Design Guidelines - Conventions, Idioms, and Patterns for Reusable .NET Libraries is a book that I believe should be on every .NET developer's desk.

Brad is coming to South Africa to present at MIX Essentials '08 in Johannesburg on the 24th and in Cape Town on the 26th. As a team member working in, I believe, the Silverlight 2 product group this is the perfect opportunity for you to come learn and network with your peers.

Yes please!

Someone once told me love makes the world go around and, well, I just had to laugh in their face because EVERYBODY knows what REALLY makes the world go around is a mutant gerbil on a treadmill.

As you probrably know Brad is really well versed in the various UI technologies from Microsoft like Silverlight, WPF and ASP.NET so I'd like to know from you as community members what you'd like to learn about. Brad is presenting a developer overview of Silverlight 2 (beta 2) at MIX Essentials '08 so we can either go with the same rough content or we can mix 'n match and make it more of a Q&A or chalk 'n talk kinda session.

His MIX Essentials '08 talk will focus on:

Developer overview where I will talk about our generalal goals for Silverlight in the RIA space and walk through how to build a Silverlight application end-to-end.

Anything else you guys and gals would be interested in?
