The January meeting of the SA SQL user group will be on Tuesday 20th of Jan 2009 at 18h30 at the Microsoft Offices in Bryanston. We're still trying to finalise a speaker, there'll be an update on that in a day or two. We definitely will have someone, that's not in doubt.
As always, please RSVP if you're coming, either by sending me a mail or PM, replying to this thread, or leaving a reply on my blog
If anyone's interested in speaking at a future event, please contact me by mail. A usergroup is a great way to get into public speaking and can lead to invitations to speak at larger events (dev days and even TechEd)

wongtatseng:I will love to join, but is there cost involve?
None whatsoever.
Will be there, by the way, are you going to post further details later or is there a hall or a room reserved for that. Sorry, I am new to SA Developers.
Thanks
The speaker we were hoping to line up isn't available, so I'll be presenting again.
I'll be doing the session that I presented at the PASS conference in Seattle last year - The dirty dozen... 12 Ways to write badly performing T-SQL.

What further details do you want?

Any particular room? As the office is so big, will the guard knows where I must go?
Sorry for the trouble.
Hmmm. I'm seeing very little interest. So far, looks like there will be max 5 people coming.
Bad topic, bad time, lack of enthusiasm, something else?
I'll be there.
I guess it is just a slow start to the year for everyone - nobody is quite ready to admit that it is 2009 yet! :)
