    Diago:

Let me know when or if you are going to make an appearance in Durban and maybe we can get you to do something down here as well

Will do. I'll definitely be in Durbs sometime. No idea when at present. If I have sufficient warning, I'll let you know.

    Re: Evaluating interest

Well - This sounds like fun....

I think something like: "The future of DBA's in SA" would be a nice topic to discuss as well.
What I would like to know for example is -what technologies one must look at, what do you think the trends would be for DBA's ext.
This topic is not a technical topic, but would be interesting....

    Re: Evaluating interest

Indeed. I'll put it on the list of topics to consider.

    Thanks

    Re: Evaluating interest

I am keen for some in depth sql server security sessions and locking down sql server for web applications that are exposed on the internet such as an e-commerce site.

As an ASP.Net developer I have paid a lot of attention to web application security and not enough on database security.

    Re: Evaluating interest

    *Resurrect topic*

I'd be very interested in SQL from a developer's perspective.
