I'm a long-time SA Developer member and am conducting research on the levels of trust in virtual teams and the influence that trust has on virtual project team success. The research is being conducted with the assistance of my mentor Professor Derek Smith, for my final deliverable for my BCOM (Hons) degree at UCT.
For purposes of the study, virtual teams are defined as groups of individuals who work as teams, distributed over more than one physical location, who communicate regularly via electronic or telecommunication mechanisms and seldom meet face to face at the same physical location.
If you are playing a project management role in teams like this, or have done so in the past, I shall greatly appreciate your participation. The research questionnaire consists of 48 questions spread over 8 pages and should take less than 15 minutes to complete.
