    SQL Server Effective Indexing talk

    When: 21st October 2008 18:30 - 20:30
    Venue: Microsoft Auditorium, Bryanston (directions)
Presenter: Gail Shaw (aka GilaMonster) (http://sqlinthewild.co.za/)
    Topic: Effective Indexing
RSVP: Please RSVP by private message including your full name as Microsoft security now requires this upfront.
Overview: The first meeting of the revived South African SQL Server usergroup.

Gail will look at the considerations for selecting clustered and non-clustered indexes, what should and should not be indexed and how queries affect the decision on indexing. If there's time, she will also talk briefly on index maintenance.

This talk is a slight modification of the one she presented at TechEd South Africa this year.
