    When: 10th October 2007 18:30 - 20:30

Presenter: Simon Stewart & Tristan Bergh
Topic:  db4o - Using an object database in your next .NET application
Objective: This talk will introduce the db4o object database and demonstrate how it can benefit .NET and Java developers.  db4o allows developers to achieve the perfect world scenario - true persistence with one line of code.  The unique design of db4o's native object database engine makes it the ideal choice to be embedded in equipment and devices, in packaged software running on mobile or desktop platforms, or in real-time control systems.

Re: October SA Developer .NET - Using an object database in your next .NET application

    Here's the full brief:

db4o - using an object database in your next .NET application
    --------------------------------------------------------------

This talk will introduce the db4o object database and demonstrate how it can benefit .NET and Java developers.

db4o allows developers to achieve the perfect world scenario - true persistence with one line of code.
The unique design of db4o's native object database engine makes it the ideal choice to be embedded in equipment and devices, in packaged software running on mobile or desktop platforms, or in real-time control systems.

This talk will be primarily demo and Q&A driven - very few PPTs!

    For more information on db4o:
    http://www.db4o.com/about/productinformation/

Clients using db4o: BMW, Boeing, Bosch, Hertz, IBM, Intel, Ricoh, and
    Seagate

    A) Introduction to db4o
    B) demos: including transactions, deep object graph storage, various query techniques, side-by-side demos with an ORM
    C) Q & A

Speakers will be Simon Stewart and Tristan Bergh.

This is a talk that *promises* to be worth your time attending.

I will be there, this looks incredibly interesting!

Why go against tradition when we can admit defeat, live in decline, be the victim of our own design?
