Salary:  Basic R260 000 p.a + Benefits

A UK Software Company providing software solutions on a Global travel distribution system is opening a new Software house in SA.  The company is looking for .NET, Microsoft SQL Server developers to train up in PowerBuilder.

The Developer will join the existing team to assist with the development of new functionality (Back- office development). The role will also entail providing support to clients on application software.

Technical Compulsory:

• Minimum 2 Years Programming Experience in Visual Basic/ .NET or similar OO language
• Minimum 2 Years Oracle, MSSQL , Sybase or similar Experience
• Strong PL/SQL or T/SQL experience
• Good fault diagnosis and resolution experience

Technical Desirable:

• Experience of development life cycle
• Report writing and SQL skills
• Previous customer service experience with good customer care skills
• Experience with Visual Basic / .NET / or PowerBuilder
• Good fault diagnosis and resolution experience
• Travel Industry Knowledge

Personal skills:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical bias, good customer liaison skills and extremely good problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies
• Able to work using own initiative
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
• Must be an enthusiastic person with a positive personality
