My guess is most likely in April alongside the international launch or soon after. I've popped an email off looking for a date. The MSDN Flash emails shouldn't have stopped, I do recall the last one in January, not sure about Feb.

One of the problems we've always had with in-person events is traffic and other activities on that evening. I've been thinking of setting up an online session using LiveMeeting, GotoMeeting or such-like. Yeah your license key does have to match. But you can install in 30 day trial mode with no key.

What normally matters most is the type of key and the type of media. The keys range from OEM, DSP, Retail, VLK, etc. Sometimes some keys work on certain media only. I believe though with Windows 7 that OEM, DSP, Retail and Upgrade all work on retail media. And from what I've seen the media on TechNet and MSDN is all retail media. Also don't
